Will Arnett Crashes Jason Bateman, Amanda Anka’s Oscars Date Night

This date night sure beats the office Christmas party.

Jason Bateman and his wife of 24 years, Amanda Anka, attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party following the 2026 Academy Awards.

The couple, parents to Francesca, 19, and Maple, 14, looked happy as they posed for photos on the red carpet with friends Jimmy Kimmel and his wife, Molly McNearney, and Will Arnett.

Amanda, 57, looked stunning in a sheer black gown adorned with sparkling polka dots and stripes. She paired the dress with loose, wavy hair. Jason, also 57, sported a growing beard and a traditional tuxedo.

Their date night followed Jason thinking about how much Amanda has helped him over the years. He especially appreciated her support in slowing down his partying after he got the main role on Arrested Development in 2003.

Jason recalled having several discussions with Amanda about when they would stop going out. He said she would playfully complain that his occasional partying felt erratic, saying, “This little bit, little bit, little bit is just annoyingly unpredictable.”

The star of Zootopia 2, now sober, explained that while she didn’t ask for complete forgiveness, they went back and forth discussing it. He felt that achieving six months of sobriety was his goal, but completing it quickly would ease the situation, so he wanted to resolve things immediately.

Jason realized he needed to stop partying as soon as he became a father, particularly if he wanted to keep his job.

He explained that he felt a strong need to achieve certain goals before having a child. He wanted a career he was passionate about and believed he could attain if he found the right position.
