Millie Bobby Brown’s world has been turned upside down in the best way ever.
About two months after adopting a baby girl with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, the actress from Stranger Things shared her thoughts on being a mother and why she and Jake have chosen to keep their daughter’s life private.
Millie explained in the December issue of British Vogue that she wants to protect her daughter and let her share her own story when she’s older.
This also means she won’t share her daughter’s name until the child is old enough to make that decision herself.
We would be supportive if she ever decides to share her personality with the public, like I did when I was younger. However, because she’s so young, my partner and I feel it’s our responsibility as parents to shield her from that kind of attention right now.
The Enola Holmes actress happily shared how wonderful life has been with her husband Jake since they got married a year ago, saying he’s already taught them so much and that it’s been an incredible experience.
In fact, Millie shared that her entire perspective on life has shifted since becoming a mom.
She explained that the simple moments are the most meaningful. Their days are full of affection, giggles, and happiness – it’s a constant source of joy.
She couldn’t have imagined doing it with anyone else, and expressed deep gratitude for Jake’s partnership in life.
As she raved about the 23-year-old, “He is just the most amazing dad.”
Millie and Jake aren’t the only ones completely smitten with their baby girl – Jake’s father, Jon Bon Jovi, admits he’s also overjoyed to be a grandfather.
He explained on Today in October that he felt an instant connection. He said when he met Jake and Millie’s daughter, it felt like meeting his own granddaughter – a feeling that came immediately.
The 63-year-old man is thrilled to become a grandfather and looks forward to spoiling his granddaughter, whom he already considers a princess.
He playfully said she wouldn’t need to walk for another decade or so, because her father would be carrying her everywhere.
