Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith came together to celebrate their youngest child’s 25th birthday with a special message, which was a rare public display of unity from the couple.

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith shared a sweet throwback photo of their daughter enjoying Halloween as a baby, wishing her a ‘Happy Birthday’ and saying she brings them joy every day.

The estranged couple added in the Oct. 31 Instagram post, “We love you, Mom & Dad.”

The singer of “Meet Me At Our Spot” seemed very happy with the celebratory video her parents chose, reacting with a laughing-crying emoji.

The fact that Will and Jada both posted a message suggests they remain deeply committed to each other, even though they quietly separated in 2016. They’ve previously stated they don’t intend to make their separation official.

In a 2023 interview with NBC News, she shared that she vowed they would never divorce. She explained they’re committed to working through any challenges and she intends to keep that promise.

Jada Pinkett Smith, who shares 27-year-old son Jaden with Will Smith, recently opened up about their relationship in her 2023 memoir, Worthy. She explained that while they will always care for each other, they needed to redefine what their relationship meant.

She explained to Today that the reasons for their split were complex. “By 2016, we were just tired of trying,” she said. “I think we were both holding onto an idea of who we wanted the other person to be, instead of accepting them as they were.”

Will, father to 31-year-old Trey Smith with his ex-wife Sheree Zampino, shared the same message while supporting her book launch.

According to The Baltimore Banner, he described Jada as his best friend ever and pledged to always be there for her.
