Red Eye is back for a new season, and viewers are already asking if it will continue beyond this one on ITV1 and ITVX.

The show centers around Detective Hana Li (Jing Lusi), a police officer with the Metropolitan Police who keeps getting caught in international incidents. Most recently, she found herself dealing with a crisis that unfolded inside the US embassy in London.

I’ve really enjoyed both seasons so far – they both centered around a flight in trouble, which is how the show got its name. But I’ve been thinking, to keep things fresh, maybe future seasons could focus on stories that don’t involve being up in the air. It would be great to see them tackle new challenges without repeating the same ‘flight in danger’ plotline.
