*Warning: Spoilers ahead for Alice in Borderland season 3.*
The third season of the popular show *Alice in Borderland* has arrived, and fans are already wondering if there will be a fourth season.
When Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) is kidnapped by a strange man fascinated with the world beyond death, Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) has to go back to the dangerous world of Borderland to rescue her and compete in even more life-or-death games.
But could there be more to the story? We caught up with director Shinsuke Sato to find out.
Will there be Alice in Borderland season 4?
Although season 4 hasn’t been officially announced, the way season 3 ended hints that the show might revisit the world of Borderlands.
With its huge popularity on Netflix, viewers are eager to see more stories unfold in the dangerous world of Borderland.

He also expressed his desire to work on a spin-off manga for *Alice in Borderland*, called *Alice in Border Road*. Written by the same author, Haro Aso, this new story is set in the world of Borderland but features a different plot and characters than the one following Arisu and Usagi.
Tao Tsuchiya and Kento Yamazaki have both said they’d be interested in reprising their roles as Usagi and Arisu if Borderland continues.
When could Alice in Borderland season 4 be released?
If it’s renewed, Alice in Borderland season 4 would likely arrive around 2027.
As a viewer, I’ve noticed a pattern with this show: we have to wait *a long* time between seasons. It’s been at least two years each time, and the gap actually *increased* between seasons two and three. So, if they make another season, don’t expect it anytime soon – it’ll probably be a while!

What could the plot of Alice in Borderland season 4 be?
The story starts with a child ending up in a strange and dangerous place called Borderland. Their parents then have to venture in to rescue them. The child is completely lost and doesn’t understand this new world, but the parents do.

Children will naturally wonder who these new people are, if they’re their parents, and why they seem to know so much about their world. This can create a bit of cautiousness at first. But as they play together, acting as parents and children, they rediscover just how special family connections are.
She explained that if this were a single event like a movie or one-time show, they’d handle everything themselves, without involving their child. However, because the show will run for multiple seasons, it’s feasible to incorporate their child into the process.
We want to bring our personal experiences and perspectives, gained over the years, to the story. We’re hoping the producers will be open to incorporating them!
How many episodes could Alice in Borderland season 4 consist of?
We’d expect Alice in Borderland season 4 to have between six and eight episodes.
