Will there be an Oshi No Ko season 4?

Now that Oshi No Ko season 3 has finished on March 25th with a one-hour finale, fans are naturally wondering if there will be a fourth season.

I’ve been watching this anime, and it’s become incredibly popular recently. It’s based on a manga, and what sets it apart from other hit series like ‘Frieren’ or ‘Oshi No Ko’ is that the original manga is already complete. The final chapter came out in November 2024, which is a big difference since many anime adaptations are still ongoing while their manga counterparts are being published.

Now that’s finished, fans are eager to find out what happens with Aqua, Ruby, and the other characters, since we know their story isn’t over yet.

Has an Oshi No Ko season 4 been confirmed?

At the time of writing, Oshi No Ko has not officially been renewed for season 4.

The anime’s website is currently focused on updates about season 3, especially its ending, and there’s no news about a possible season 4 at this time.

While nothing is confirmed yet, another season seems likely. Season 3 was announced in October 2024, and now that the original manga is finished, the anime creators have all the source material they need. This doesn’t guarantee a fourth season, but it definitely increases the possibility.

When could a potential Oshi No Ko season 4 be released?

If Oshi No Ko is renewed for season 4, we wouldn’t expect it to arrive especially quickly.

The show’s first season ran from April to June 2023, followed by a second season from July to October 2024. The third season started in January 2026.

Considering the typical production timeline, 2027 seems to be the soonest we might see a fourth season of Oshi No Ko, but even that’s just a guess at this point. A release in 2028 is also possible, depending on how much content needs to be adapted and how quickly production moves forward.

For now, though, that remains educated guesswork until an official announcement is made.

What could a potential Oshi No Ko season 4 be about?

From what I gather, season four will probably wrap up the “15-Year Lie” plotline. It looks like the movie being made about Ai’s life will be a really important emotional focus of the season.

This will likely cause further complications: Ruby will become more involved in Ai’s work, tensions will rise regarding Aqua’s plans for revenge, and Kana, Akane, and the others will face increasing stress as the project makes them deal with difficult memories.

I noticed the story in the movie really focuses on how the film within the story is made – everything from choosing the actors to actually shooting the scenes. Because of that, it’s obvious there’s plenty more content from the movie they can still use for the anime.

Beyond that, season 4 has the potential to be particularly intense because the story arc based on the movie is followed by two concluding manga arcs: The End of the Play and Toward the Stars and Dreams. The latter of these arcs actually marks the end of the entire manga series.

From what I’ve gathered, if Oshi No Ko gets a fourth season, it feels like things will really start wrapping up. It seems the season would deal with the consequences of the movie and bring the story much closer to its ending. The manga concluded in November 2024, so the writers already have a clear plan for how everything will finish.
