The sci-fi Metroidvania style game titled WOLFHOUND is set to be released on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam in the year 2026, according to the developers at Bit Kid.
James Petruzzi, founder and head developer of Bit Kid, stated in a press release that since our triumphant unveiling in 2024, we’ve mainly been nose-to-the-grindstone. However, we’re excited to present some of the odd new adversaries you’ll encounter. We understand our fans have been eagerly awaiting more and can’t wait to try it out themselves-drop by the MIX’s event in Seattle tonight for a hands-on experience.
Here is an overview of the game, via Bit Kid:
When Captain Chuck “WOLFHOUND” Rossetti was assigned to secretly invade an unexplored island, neutralize the enemy forces, and save a ship’s crew presumed lost in the Bermuda Triangle, he anticipated a violent scenario. However, he wasn’t prepared for a forceful landing, nor for the sheer horror of the grisly experiments conducted by the insane Nazi scientist, Dr. Steiner.
Investigate the enigmatic island, searching for weapons and ammunition from the secretive fortress’s stores. Defend against the unusual creatures unveiled in the latest trailer, including grotesque mutant rats with tail blades, a towering armored bodyguard, and writhing globules of amorphous flesh.
Inflict remorse on Dr. Steiner for inventing destructive experimental weaponry such as railguns by using them against his own inventions. Overcome otherwise impassable corridors by locating advanced mobility technology like air-boost boots and a jetpack. Captain Rosetti must utilize every advantage he can find to thwart Nazi global conquest, realizing that he’s the last hope.
