Woman Narrowly Escapes Stalker as She Returns Home in Texas, Caught on Camera: ‘Survival Instincts of a Navy SEAL’

A group of women were walking home late at night in Abilene, Texas, when a stranger suddenly appeared behind them. Luckily, they spotted him just in time and were able to get safely inside, avoiding a potentially dangerous situation.

Shay Dawn posted a TikTok video showing Ring camera footage of someone attempting to enter a woman’s apartment. Alyssa, the resident of the Texas apartment, felt uneasy when an unidentified man walked up behind her. She turned around as he started to get closer, sensing something was wrong.

“Can I help you?” the woman asked.

The man then began speaking in a confused way, seemingly trying to appear harmless. Alyssa told him to leave, but Shay said he then approached their car and attempted to pull both her and another woman, Kodee, out of it.

The man reportedly started following and cornering the women around the building, but they were able to get away from him. This led to them running inside the apartment, as shown in the final TikTok video. He then reappeared at the front door, knocking and standing close to the doorbell camera before leaving.

Man Arrested, Reactions

The TikToker from Texas said they had to call the police, and the man was arrested. Shay explained it was a frightening night, but everyone was safe, and urged other women to be careful, saying they could have all been attacked if they hadn’t been paying attention.

People commenting were surprised by how nearly attacked the woman was. Many complimented her attentiveness, noting it likely protected her companions.

Now that the man is in custody, it’s hoped that no more women will be stalked by him. It seems the women he targeted may have actually stopped him from harming others.
