For years, the extra scenes after the credits in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies were famous for hinting at what was coming next. For the first ten years of the MCU, you could always count on a reason to stay after the movie ended. But things have changed. Now, those post-credit scenes aren’t as reliable, especially on Disney+. While some recent shows like Echo, Daredevil: Born Again, and Ironheart had significant scenes after the credits, others didn’t. Even shows like Loki Season 2 and What If…? Season 3 included them, but not in their final episodes.
Marvel’s recent Phase 6 TV shows, including Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies, and now Wonder Man, haven’t included extra scenes after the credits. Since these shows were designed as self-contained limited series (though Zombies might come back later), it felt unnecessary to add them. Many viewers will likely appreciate that Wonder Man also skips the post-credits scene, as it fits the show’s format and avoids adding a teaser that doesn’t really go anywhere.
Why Wonder Man Doesn’t Have A Post-Credits Scene

Currently, there are small clues suggesting Yahya Abdul-Mateen’s character could join the Avengers in the future, but there’s no indication at all that a second season of Wonder Man is planned. Because of this, a post-credits scene teasing future storylines would have felt misleading. Wonder Man is a self-contained Marvel project, and while the ending reframes the eight episodes as the second part of Simon’s origin story (the show doesn’t explain where his powers come from), we don’t need any further hints about a potential return. The final scene, showing Simon using his powers, already implies that possibility.
The last scene, where Simon saves Trevor from the DODC prison, is a satisfying conclusion. It focuses on what matters most – the bond between Simon and Trevor – instead of adding a big fight or a predictable cameo from another Marvel hero. The ending leaves us feeling optimistic about what could happen next, suggesting a potential storyline where Simon confronts the DODC, and reinforces that their friendship was the heart of the story.
