Wargaming is holding a closed beta test for its free-to-play vehicle shooter, World of Tanks: HEAT, from April 16th to 20th. The test will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC (through Steam and the Wargaming Game Center), and Nvidia GeForce NOW. You can sign up now on the official website.
Here are the details:
World of Tanks: HEAT takes place in a reimagined post-World War II world and delivers a faster, more action-packed tank combat experience. Players become elite Agents with special abilities and command a variety of experimental tanks. Each tank has unique strengths and can be heavily customized with new weapons, armor, and visual features, allowing for deep tactical options.
In the closed beta, players can try out a variety of tanks and Agents, each offering unique ways to play as either a Defender, Assault, or Marksman. The beta will include team-based battles in four different modes, played on eight unique maps.
- Hardpoint (five-versus-five) – Capture, defend, and hold a rolling series of dynamically changing bases.
- Control (five-versus-five) – Capture and hold a single zone.
- Kill Confirmed (five-versus-five) – Destroy enemies and grab their tokens, or grab your allies’ dropped tokens to deny the other team points.
- Conquest (10-versus-10) – Large teams and multiple capture zones make for a sprawling, dynamic war zone.
