Now, one particular DS game is seeing a surge in popularity for a rather unexpected reason.
Recently, the price of physical copies of the Nintendo DS game Cory in the House has dramatically increased. Sealed copies are now selling for as much as $500, and even copies with the original box and manual (complete in box) are going for between $200 and $300. This isn’t an isolated incident – dozens of sales have been confirmed on eBay in just the past few days. Previously, the game was considered low quality and sold for only $5 to $12.
Why Is This DS Game Increasing in Value?
Why all the sudden buzz around Cory in the House? It’s become a major meme in early 2026, with many online jokingly calling the Disney show the “greatest anime of all time.” This has extended to the Cory in the House video game, where players have artificially inflated its Metacritic score, making it one of the highest-rated games on the site. As a result, the physical copies of the DS game are now in high demand, and people are selling them for hundreds of dollars – and surprisingly, some are actually buying them at that price.
The price of Cory in the House has been surprisingly high lately, but it’s unlikely to stay that way. Like most internet trends, this one will probably fade, and the game’s price will likely drop as people move on to the next popular thing.
