
Awards season rages on with the 78th Annual Writers Guild Awards.
Last week, the Los Angeles event was canceled because of the ongoing Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike. But the event on the East Coast is still happening as planned. We’ll be updating the list of nominees and winners live throughout the evening here on Screen Rant, so stay tuned!

I recently learned about a fascinating project by Paul Thomas Anderson. He wrote the screenplay and the overall story for a film called One Battle After Another, and it’s really cool because it draws inspiration from Thomas Pynchon’s novel, Vineland. Warner Bros. is the studio behind it, and honestly, knowing both Pynchon and PTA are involved, I’m already incredibly excited to see what they’ve created!
Train Dreams is a screenplay by Clint Bentley and Greg Kwedar, adapted from the novella by Denis Johnson. It is available on Netflix.

I recently finished watching Pluribus on Apple TV, and the writing is a real standout.
