As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming release of Wuthering Waves on PlayStation 5! Having had the pleasure of diving into its PC and mobile versions earlier this year, I’m eager to see how it shines on Sony’s latest console.
Following its debut earlier in the year on both PC and mobile devices, Kuro Games’ “Wuthering Waves” has been slated for release on the PlayStation 5. The game is set to launch on January 2nd, 2025, and pre-orders can be made now for a $9.99 bundle on the PlayStation Store.
Wuthering Waves is a free game, but the Awakening Bundle offers bonus materials to kickstart your progress. It includes ten Premium Resonance Potions and Energy Cores, 500,000 Shell Credit, and five Lustrous Tides for summoning characters from regular banners. Pre-ordering the bundle grants an extra two Premium Resonance Potions and Energy Cores.
The PlayStation 5 edition will be released together with Update 2.0, introducing a fresh locale, Rinascita, complete with novel characters, missions, and various additional features. Keep an eye out for further announcements, such as the resolution/frame rate specifications and whether it’s compatible with the PS5 Pro.
As an avid gamer, I’d highly recommend checking out the PC version of “Wuthering Waves”. In my opinion, it scores a 7/10. The game shines with its stunning visuals, engaging combat, and captivating world design. However, there are areas that could use improvement, such as the voiceover performances, localization, and occasional bugs. You can find our detailed review of this title here.
