WWE games are known for their extensive rosters, and WWE 2K25 is expected to be no different.
With the upcoming new version coming soon, let’s focus now on deciding who will be included this time around.
As a passionate gaming enthusiast, I’d like to share that without delving into additional content, the previous WWE games boasted over 250 playable characters. That’s an astounding figure, one that even titans in the industry such as Super Smash Bros., Marvel vs. Capcom, or Overwatch find hard to match.
It’s quite likely that the next move for publisher 2K will involve expanding even further. Could this be the moment they surpass the 300-title library?
In other words, we’re not far from finding out more details about WWE 2K25, as additional information is due in January, followed closely by its release date.
For now, let me share with you the list of confirmed participants, along with a few educated guesses regarding potential additions.
Who is the WWE 2K25 cover star?
[image id=”1072065″ size=”full” title=”Roman Reigns” alt=”Roman Reigns raising a belt above his head” classes=””] Roman Reigns.
2K has all but confirmed that Roman Reigns will be the cover star for WWE 2K25.
In January 2025, a sneak peek of the game was shown during Netflix’s Monday Night Raw, featuring the Samoan wrestler. Given this, it seems reasonable to anticipate that he will take the leading role.
In line with notable figures such as Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Bianca Belair, and Rey Mysterio (among others), this individual has the honor of gracing the cover of a WWE title, following in their illustrious footsteps.
WWE 2K25 confirmed roster
Although the complete lineup is still under wraps, we can confirm that certain wrestlers will feature in WWE 2K25. Among them are:
- Bayley
- Cody Rhodes
- CM Punk
- Damian Priest
- Liv Morgan
- Roman Reigns
WWE 2K25 rumoured roster
Given that WWE 2K24 featured close to 300 wrestling characters, it’s reasonable to expect a comparable roster for WWE 2K25. Over the past few releases, the number of characters offered by 2K has grown progressively larger.
With that, let me present a few faces – some quite apparent, others more elusive – which we believe will feature in the concluding match:
1. A straightforward method to express the original statement without altering its meaning or making it too complex.
2. The use of “concluding match” instead of “final game” for a slightly more casual tone and to avoid repetition since “game” is mentioned later in the sentence.
- Akam
- Becky Lynch
- Brian Pillman – signed a WWE Legends contract
- Bruce Prichard
- Chris Sabin
- Earthquake
- Elektra Lopez
- Erick Rowan
- John Cena
- Mickie James
- Naomi
- Paul Heyman – appears in reveal video alongside Roman Reigns
- Rezar
- The Rock
- Tama Tonga
- Tonga Loa
- Victoria – signed a WWE Legends contract
To get a clearer picture, take a look at the complete lineup for WWE 2K24, as several characters are expected to make a comeback. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer, with additional information due on January 27th, 2025.
WWE 2K is scheduled to launch across PlayStation, Xbox and PC sometime before 31st March 2025.
