Fans of WWE were excited to witness Nikki Bella’s comeback in the ring during the Royal Rumble a few months ago, and this wasn’t just a one-time event. Instead, her return continued on Monday Night Raw, leading to an encounter with Liv Morgan that resembled an Evolution dream match. However, things took a turn when Morgan was injured, causing the planned match to be cancelled. Now, fans were curious about how WWE would adjust their plans for Bella following this development. Tonight, we finally got some answers, but not everyone may be content with the outcome.
Bella presented a pre-recorded message, discussing her past comeback on Raw and the altercation with Morgan. However, Bella didn’t mention Morgan’s injury directly. Instead, she explained that the confrontation inspired her to prove herself again, and she intends to do so at WWE’s Evolution, although not exactly as people might have anticipated.
Change in Reported Plans
As a movie reviewer, I’m thrilled to share that instead of a traditional one-on-one bout or even a Tag Team match with Brie, Nikki is gearing up for something grand – a Battle Royal! The exact number of competitors WWE has in store remains undisclosed, but we can expect at least 20 powerhouses, if not more. Keep your eyes peeled for tomorrow’s NXT, where the complete roster for this epic showdown will be unveiled. So buckle up, wrestling fans, as we eagerly await the full lineup!
The skill set of the participants in the Battle Royal promises an exciting contest, given the blend of prominent figures from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. However, Bella’s ring comeback seems less dramatic compared to her potential one-on-one fight with Morgan or a tag team battle alongside Brie against Liv and Raquel. It’s not anyone’s fault, but some may find it disappointing that Nikki isn’t receiving a more prominent solo spotlight.
Why This Could Be Great
Instead of viewing this as a situation where the glass is half empty, consider it as one where the glass is half full. The presence of Nikki in the Battle Royal significantly increases its appeal and stardom, and it also opens up possibilities for intriguing match-ups that might not have occurred otherwise, particularly if additional superstars from NXT are brought into the mix.
Experiencing Nikki competing alongside stars such as Fallon Henley, Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker, Karmen Petrovic, Kelani Jordan, Lash Legend, Lola Vice, Nikkita Lyons, Thea Hail, Tatum Paxley, Wendy Choo, and Wren Sinclair will likely be unique events. This is particularly the case when considering a potential confrontation with NXT’s latest recruit, Blake Monroe.
In addition to potential collisions featuring B-Fab, Candice LeRae, Chelsea Green, Giulia, Mickie, Nia Jax, Nikki Cross, Zelina Vega, Ivy Nile, Kairi Sane, Maxxine Dupri, and Natalya, it’s a certainty that Stephanie Vaquer will be participating in the match. Regarding legends, there haven’t been many whispers about returning stars, but we do know Trish Stratus is set to battle Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Championship. It’s also possible that Brie Bella might still make an appearance in the Battle Royal, though we’ll have to stay tuned to find out if that occurs.
There’s a possibility that Bella emerges victorious in the Battle Royal, which would grant her a chance to challenge for the Women’s Championship at Clash in Paris. This potential opponent could be either Tiffany Stratton or Trish Stratus, should they face off in a match. It’s tough to imagine Stratton relinquishing the Title right away, but unexpected things can happen. There might be another Bella reign as champion in the future.
