At WWE’s Evolution 2, NXT gained significant attention, particularly during the final phase of the Evolution Battle Royal. The climactic match featured an unanticipated group consisting of Stephanie Vaquer, Lash Legend, and Nia Jax. Although Vaquer emerged victorious, the contest ignited a rivalry between a SmackDown and an NXT performer. It appears that one competitor’s journey to the main roster is about to commence following this event.
In simpler terms, Vaquer and Legend faced off against Jax in a match, with Vaquer defeating Legend after using a move called “the devil’s kiss” on the ring apron. This match was significant for Legend who has been progressing in NXT over the past year and a half. It seemed logical that Jax, a WWE superstar, would challenge Legend in NXT to size him up, which is exactly what happened during this evening’s event.
MESSAGE. SENT.
NIA JAX JUST DESTROYED LASH LEGEND!

In their match against Fallon Henley from Fatal Influence, Legend wasn’t primarily concerned with Jacy Jayne or Jazmyn Nyx as allies. Despite attempts by these two to interfere, Legend managed to keep them in check. However, an unexpected attack came from Jax, who suddenly rammed into Legend and sent her crashing to the floor.
Later, Jax positioned Legend inside the ring so Henley could secure a victory by pinning her. However, Jax didn’t stop there; instead, Jax transferred Legend to the corner and delivered the Annihilator move. Following this, Jax taunted Legend while standing in the middle of the ring, sending a clear, powerful message to both the audience and Legend herself.
What’s Next?
It seems clear that Jax’s attack on Legend in NXT is likely to escalate into a prolonged conflict, potentially lasting for several weeks at least. Maintaining this rivalry solely within the confines of NXT might be somewhat restrictive, considering Legend’s impressive performance alongside Jakara Jackson on SmackDown previously.
It’s quite possible that we’ll witness Legend appearing more frequently on SmackDown in the near future as a way of repaying a favor. Given her recent appearances in the Women’s Tag Team Championships and the Royal Rumble, it seems less a question of if but when she makes her main roster debut. Although WWE might hold off until the draft, I suspect Legend will be part of Raw or SmackDown within the coming weeks.
