Throughout this year, a number of wrestlers have left WWE, either because they were released or chose not to renew their contracts. Notable names include Sonya Deville, Tegan Fox, Cedric Alexander, The Good Brothers, Isla Dawn, Elektra Lopez, Karrion Kross and Scarlett, Carmella, Dakota Kai, Cora Jade, and Braun Strowman. Karrion Kross, for example, had a contract offer but decided to move on. Now, another WWE star has also chosen not to re-sign and has shared their reasons for leaving, potentially stepping away from professional wrestling altogether.
Viewers of this week’s WWE NXT saw a scene where Jazmyn Nyx of the Fatal Influence group was found attacked backstage. Her teammates, Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne, abandoned her, effectively ending her time with the group. It’s now clear this happened because Nyx (whose real name is Jade Arianna Gentile) chose not to renew her contract with WWE, and she has since explained her reasons for leaving.
Goodbye to WWE
The Real Story of why Jazmyn Nyx Left WWE. #wwenxt

I wanted to share my journey. I was a professional soccer player in Iceland when WWE recruited me. I left everything behind to come here, and I’m really thankful for the chance. I faced some setbacks early on – I had four knee surgeries and needed time to recover and rebuild. I even broke my nose, which is why I wore a mask. I also had some concussions and other injuries that kept me off TV for a while. Because of these challenges, I had to turn down some opportunities. Now that I’m no longer with WWE, I can finally focus on and pursue those opportunities more seriously.
Jazmyn Nyx creator, Gentile, expressed her gratitude to her fans, saying, “I love my Jazmyn Nyx fans! Thank you all so much for your support and for always having my back over the last three years. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’ll truly miss you all. This is goodbye to Jazmyn Nyx, so thank you for watching, and I love you all very much.”
Based on what Gentile said, it doesn’t sound like she’ll be back to wrestling anytime soon, even if not with WWE. However, she’s enthusiastic about some new opportunities, so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to see what she does next.
