X-Men Report: GOT Spin-off Lead Eyed To Play Beast in Marvel Reboot

Rumors are swirling about who will play the mutants in Marvel’s upcoming reboot, and a new actor is now being considered. Reports indicate a popular up-and-coming star from a well-known fantasy show is a potential candidate for a significant part.

Peter Claffey possibly eyed to play Beast in Marvel’s X-Men reboot

Marvel is reportedly considering Peter Claffey to play Beast in their new X-Men movie. Entertainment industry insider Jeff Sneider mentioned this during a discussion with John Rocha, adding that Claffey seems like a good fit for the role.

Actor Claffey is getting noticed for his role as Dunk in ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,’ the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel. Although industry insider Sneider doesn’t regularly watch the show, he notes that there’s increasing excitement about Claffey, particularly since Marvel is supposedly looking for new actors to play mutants.

According to Sneider, he doesn’t watch the show, but the actor Peter Claffey, who plays Dunk, is being considered for the role of Beast. Rocha also thinks Claffey could potentially play Banshee, but Beast seems like the more likely fit at the moment.

The actors haven’t been officially announced yet, so this news should be considered unconfirmed. Reportedly, insider Sneider previously suggested Sadie Sink might be cast as Jean Grey, which could mean Marvel is planning to introduce prominent mutants earlier than anticipated, potentially in future crossover movies. Some sources say she might first appear in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day film.

Rhys Claffey is quickly gaining recognition. His performance as Dunk has excited fans of George R.R. Martin’s stories, with many praising his realistic and powerful take on the character. Dunk is known for being strong and courageous, traits that would also fit Beast, a hero who is both smart and physically imposing.

Claffey is likely to be back for the second season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, currently planned for release in 2027. This will give him more time to gain recognition before Marvel makes any casting choices.
