Now that the Xbox Fullscreen Experience is available on all Windows 11 PCs, a new update has been released in the newest preview version.
Now, when you start an Xbox Cloud Gaming title on any device, you’ll be able to see the status of your saved progress, which will make sure everything is up-to-date and give you peace of mind.
As an analyst, I’ve been following the rollout of this new feature, and I’m impressed. It simply shows users when their game last synced with Xbox Cloud Gaming. While it seems minor, this actually solves a big pain point for players – the worry about losing progress or playing with outdated saves. It’s a surprisingly impactful improvement that should significantly reduce player anxiety.
You’ll now see the date and time of the last sync to Xbox Cloud Gaming

Players used to be unsure if their game progress had saved correctly, which unfortunately caused lost data and overwritten files – a frustrating experience, especially during my time playing Pentiment!
This update makes Xbox Cloud Gaming save tracking work more like it does on platforms such as Steam. Along with the current feature that shows a progress bar when saves are uploading, this new timestamp gives you a much clearer and more dependable view of your save data’s status at all times.
Xbox Cloud Gaming just got even better with recent upgrades like support for 1440p resolution, smoother 60 frames per second gameplay, and improved video quality. However, these enhancements did come with a price increase to the Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
These improvements make playing games through cloud streaming feel much more like playing them directly on a console. Plus, Xbox is constantly growing the number of games you can stream that you already own.
We don’t have a firm release date for this update just yet. It’s currently being tested by Windows Insiders with the newest preview version, so most players will need to be patient while we roll it out.
