Xbox Confirms How to Watch June 7 Games Showcase 2026 and Gears of War: E-Day Direct

Xbox will be holding its big summer games showcase on Sunday, June 7th. Immediately following the showcase, the team behind the upcoming game Gears of War: E-Day will host a dedicated presentation with more details. Here’s a rundown of what to expect.

You can tune in to the Xbox Games Showcase 2026 live on platforms like YouTube (in 4K60), Twitch, Facebook, and Steam. It will also be available on official Xbox and Bethesda channels in your region. Viewers in China can watch on Bilibili. For deaf viewers, an American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation will be available on the Twitch channel XboxASL.

I’m so hyped for the Xbox Showcase! They’re promising a ton of world premieres, new gameplay reveals, and all sorts of updates. We already know we’re getting a deep dive into Gears of War: E-Day, which I’m really excited about. And the Official Xbox Podcast let slip that we’ll finally see more of Fable too! They haven’t said everything that’s going to be shown off yet, but honestly, just those two games have me tuning in for sure.

What Happens After the Main Show?

Immediately following the Xbox Games Showcase, The Coalition will present a dedicated stream focused on Gears of War: E-Day. Xbox promises the stream will feature new information about the game, including gameplay and story details.

Xbox announced a presentation to share more details about a game releasing later this year. Currently, the game’s Steam page only states it’s “Coming soon,” meaning an official release date hasn’t been announced.

What Is Gears of War: E-Day?

E-Day takes place 14 years before the first Gears of War game, showing what happened when the Locust Horde first attacked. The game focuses on Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago during that initial invasion, known as Emergence Day – the event the game is named after.

The game is being built in Unreal Engine 5 and will be available on Game Pass from day one.

Captions, Languages, and Accessibility

Xbox is making the broadcast accessible to a wide audience with live streams in many languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and more. They’ll also be adding even more subtitle options after the event.

To make gaming more accessible, Xbox is now providing audio descriptions in English, as well as sign language interpretations in both American and British versions. You can find these on Xbox’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, and through the Xbox On platform.

Following the showcase, Xbox will share detailed summaries on Xbox Wire. They’ll also be releasing special episodes of the Official Xbox Podcast the week of June 9th to discuss the announcements in more detail.

The Xbox Showcase is one of the events celebrating 25 years of Xbox. Xbox FanFest will be back in Los Angeles, and they’re planning more events throughout 2026 in cities like Cologne, London, Mexico City, Seattle, Sydney, Tokyo, and Toronto.

Xbox hasn’t revealed all the games that will be featured in its upcoming Showcase. While we know Gears of War: E-Day and Fable will both be there, the rest of the games remain a mystery. Also, a release date for Gears of War: E-Day hasn’t been announced yet.
