Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, the premium tiers of Microsoft’s subscription service, will have a total of four brand-new games available on their launch day (day one games). Among these, a game from Ubisoft is included, but if you’re into big-budget AAA games, you might not find these smaller releases appealing. However, it’s important to note that this month, many more games than just these four will be added to Xbox Game Pass.
The length of time for which any of the four games listed on Xbox Game Pass will be accessible through the Microsoft subscription isn’t specified yet. Typically, Microsoft does not reveal such details. Nevertheless, as long as they remain available in any tier of the subscription service, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can benefit from a 20% discount when purchasing these games.
The Rogue Prince of Persia
The action game “The Rogue Prince of Persia,” developed by French studio Evil Empire and published by Ubisoft, has earned an impressive 83 Metacritic score on its launch day. On Steam, it boasts an even higher 88% approval rating. Given that this is Evil Empire’s debut release, such a high score is particularly noteworthy. What makes this game stand out even more is that it is available on Xbox Game Pass on its release day and was launched simultaneously (shadow drop) across various platforms.

Herdling
Herdling” is a fresh adventure game, freshly released by Okomotive, a Switzerland-based studio that created “Far: Lone Sails” in 2018 and its 2022 sequel, “Far: Changing Tides”. As this is their latest production, the Metacritic score and user reviews for “Herdling” are yet to be determined since it just hit the shelves today.

Void/Breaker
“Void/Breaker” is a first-person roguelite shooter developed by solo creator Stubby Games and published by Playstack, who previously released “The Entropy Centre” in 2022. Similar to “Herdling“, it currently lacks a Metacritic score, but it’s garnering positive user reviews much like its predecessor. As of now, it enjoys an 89% approval rating on Steam.

Blacksmith Master
In simpler terms, “Blacksmith Master” is the game on this list that hasn’t been released yet completely. It was initially launched on Steam Early Access earlier this year and recently became available through Xbox Game Preview on Microsoft Store. Developed by Untitled Studio and published by Hooded Horse, it currently lacks a Metacritic rating, but has an 84% positive rating on Steam where it’s been available for the longest time. Similar to “Void/Breaker”, this is the second game from Untitled Studio, who previously released “Tavern Master” in 2021.
