Now, Xbox has added another perk to Ultimate without raising the monthly price.

Xbox has announced upgrades to its cloud gaming technology, bringing the biggest benefits to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Players on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One X, and Xbox One S consoles can now stream games at up to 1440p resolution. This means cloud games will look sharper and play more smoothly. Xbox notes that this enhanced streaming quality is exclusively for Game Pass Ultimate members.

Is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Worth It?

With the latest improvements, is Xbox Game Pass still a good value? It’s tough to say. Game Pass Ultimate is pretty expensive, costing $30 a month, especially after last year’s price hike. Since there’s no yearly subscription option to reduce the cost, staying at the Ultimate level will run you $360 per year.

Game Pass Ultimate still offers a lot of benefits that make the subscription worthwhile. This new cloud streaming update is great, but it probably won’t be enough to convince someone to sign up if they haven’t already. However, Xbox has consistently added new features like this over time to make the subscription more appealing.
