Okay, so Xbox Game Pass is killing it already this year! They’ve added a bunch of new games, and honestly, there’s so much to play it’s awesome. I’m especially hyped about this one survival game that came out last year – it didn’t get much attention at the time, but it’s seriously good and you should definitely check it out.
The survival game Atomfall recently became available to Xbox Game Pass Premium members as part of a large January game update, and it’s a surprisingly good title that hasn’t received much recognition since its release. Originally launched as a Day One Game Pass game for Ultimate and PC subscribers in March 2025, adding it to the Premium tier should attract a lot more players.
Atomfall Is On Xbox Game Pass … Again
Atomfall launched last year as part of Xbox Game Pass (for Ultimate subscribers) and received a mixed reaction. Players, like BostonRob423 on Reddit, enjoyed exploring the game’s large, open world and found the story intriguing. However, some critics felt the game’s older RPG features were dull.
Even though it didn’t receive amazing reviews, Atomfall is a great game for Game Pass members. You can play the story and experience the gameplay without paying anything extra. It’s a fairly short, but satisfying game – you can finish the main story in about 10 hours, and there are plenty of extra things to do if you want to spend more time in the world.
I recently played Atomfall, and it’s a really cool survival-action game! It’s set in Northern England, about five years after the Windscale disaster, and it definitely feels like a post-apocalyptic world. People have been comparing it to Fallout, imagining that vibe but in the English countryside, which is a fun way to think about it. While it’s a solid survival RPG with a lot going for it, it’s not quite as detailed or original as the Fallout series, so just go in expecting something a little different. I still enjoyed it a lot though!
Premium Members Can Play Now
Good news for Xbox Game Pass Premium members: you can now play Atomfall, a game that was previously exclusive to the highest subscription tier. Atomfall is just one of several new titles added this month for Premium subscribers, alongside games like Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, ReMatch, and Space Marine Master Crafted Edition.
Xbox Game Pass subscribers have had a fantastic start to the year, and things are looking great for 2026! This month’s additions include Star Wars Outlaws for Ultimate members, plus titles like Brews & Bastards, the original Final Fantasy, Resident Evil Village, Mio: Memories in Orbit, and even more games.
