As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got to say, Xbox Game Pass is an absolute gem! It’s like a treasure trove for survival game lovers, with two fantastic new additions that have left us all thrilled. For just $20 a month, it’s a no-brainer. You get unlimited access to Xbox’s exclusive games the moment they drop, from heavy hitters like Call of Duty and upcoming Bethesda RPGs such as The Elder Scrolls 6, without having to shell out any extra cash.
And it’s not just about the big names. Game Pass offers a vast library of indie games, perfect for those who love discovering hidden gems. If you’re in the mood for a classic blockbuster from the past few years, Game Pass has got you covered there too. It’s like having your own personal game library, but without the storage issues!
Xbox Game Pass truly excels in showcasing games that might otherwise go unnoticed, making it a breeze to discover fresh gaming experiences for your social circle. Lately, Xbox Game Pass has incorporated two new cooperative survival games: Grounded 2 and Abiotic Factor. These games made their debut on the platform on the same day they were released and have been extremely popular among subscribers thus far.
Xbox Game Pass Fans Praise New Survival Games Grounded 2 and Abiotic Factor
On Reddit, users are enthusiastically praising Grounded 2 and Abiotic Factor as exceptional survival games they’ve recently played, significantly enhancing their Xbox Game Pass subscription experience. User Cvnt-Force-Drama specifically commented that these games offer a solo play experience, which is not typically found in the survival game genre and caters well to those who prefer playing alone.
The Reddit user shared, “I’m a big fan of survival games and have given most of them a try, except for a handful. Unfortunately, I don’t have any friends to play with, which restricts my gaming enjoyment. However, the release of ‘Abiotic Factor’ and ‘Grounded 2’ on Game Pass has been a game-changer. These games are some of the most solo-friendly survival titles I’ve encountered. As for ‘Valheim’, I’m not sure if it’s still available on the service, but it’s the only one that comes close to these two in my book.
In the follow-up to Obsidian Entertainment’s game inspired by “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” titled Grounded 2, a band of children find themselves shrunken once again, this time in their backyard. The sequel delves into comparable concepts, but expands the setting to a park and develops its themes for greater depth and ambition. A notable addition is the ability for players to ride insects, serving both for navigating the enlarged surroundings of the sequel and engaging in combat.
In simpler terms, Abiotic Factor can be described as an amusing game that takes place in a subterranean research lab. Here, you come across supernatural beings and creatures hailing from other dimensions. Given its survival game genre, it includes crafting and searching for resources. These activities enable you to access additional features and gameplay options. It’s somewhat similar to a humorous take on Black Mesa, the research facility in the Half-Life series of games.
The two games, Grounded 2 and Abiotic Factor, are now available on Xbox Game Pass. You can play them either solo or with friends in co-op mode. Additionally, these games offer engaging narratives, making them more than just endless loops of resource gathering and crafting.
Have you played either of these games? If so, let me know in the comments what you think of them.
