Join the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7th at 10 AM PST for a look at exciting gameplay and major news about upcoming games. The show will highlight titles from Xbox Game Studios, as well as announcements from developers around the world, including both popular franchises and promising new indie games.
The main highlight will likely be the showcase of Gears of War: E-Day immediately afterward, offering new gameplay footage and details about the game’s story. Hopefully, this presentation will be as thorough and detailed as the deep dives we saw for games like The Outer Worlds 2 and Starfield, and not a shorter overview like the one for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
This might also indicate when E-Day will be released, as it’s currently scheduled for 2026. Microsoft hasn’t officially announced a launch timeframe, but rumors suggest it will be in the latter half of the year. Apparently, they’re trying to avoid clashing with the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. However, with Halo: Campaign Evolved possibly launching before September, and Fable already set for release this fall, Xbox fans have a lot to look forward to in a short period.
This year’s Showcase will once again include the Xbox FanFest. With Xbox celebrating its 25th anniversary, attendees can look forward to a trip down memory lane and a preview of future plans.
Over the next couple of months, Xbox Game Studios has two new games coming out: Kiln from Double Fine on April 23rd, and Forza Horizon 6 from Playground Games on May 19th. You can see three of the cars that will be featured in Forza Horizon 6, including the 2022 Honda e, at this link.
