As an Xbox fan, I’m really excited about this! Xbox is giving away a full game – not a trial or a demo, and you don’t even need Game Pass – completely free on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. If you have one of those consoles, you can download and keep it forever. But hurry, this deal ends on July 1st, and the game normally costs $20, so grab it while you can!
In 2020, Xbox Game Studios and Dontnod Entertainment, known for the Life Is Strange series, released the adventure game Tell Me Why. While it didn’t achieve significant commercial success – a sequel hasn’t been announced – it received generally positive reviews, scoring a 78 on Metacritic and 4 out of 5 stars on the Xbox Store. Player reviews are somewhat divided: over 2,500 reviews show 62% giving it a perfect 5/5 rating, but a surprising 21% gave it the lowest possible score of 1/5. Despite this polarization, the game did win the ‘Game for Impact’ award at The Game Awards six years ago.
10 Hour Game for Free
The game centers around twins, Tyler and Alyson Ronan, who reconnect and use their special connection to uncover the secrets of their difficult past. Set in a small town in Alaska, the story explores complex themes, and your choices will determine how it unfolds.
Like many games of its kind, Tell Me Why is relatively short, taking around 10 hours to complete. Players who aim to find everything will likely spend a few extra hours on it. While it’s not the longest or most outstanding game available, it’s free and exclusively available on PC – you won’t find it on any other platform, and that’s unlikely to change. It’s also worth knowing that there isn’t a dedicated Xbox Series X version; only the Xbox One version is available, but it plays on current Xbox consoles thanks to backward compatibility.
