Microsoft isn’t planning the next Xbox for a while, and its four major first-party games, including Halo: Campaign Evolved, won’t be released until 2026. Until then, Microsoft will concentrate on games from other developers, and a preview event showcasing these titles is reportedly scheduled for November.
According to reliable sources speaking with Jez Corden at Windows Central, the upcoming showcase will include games from a variety of Xbox publishing partners, both large and small. Many of these games appear to support Xbox Play Anywhere, which suggests Microsoft is planning to more closely integrate PC gaming with its next Xbox console.
According to Corden, developers are becoming more enthusiastic about the potential of the platform, and better-than-anticipated sales of the Xbox Ally appear to be contributing to this positive outlook.
On top of everything else, Xbox will also be at The Game Awards. While we don’t know exactly what they’ll show, expect to see new gameplay from games like Fable, Forza Horizon 6, or Gears of War: E-Day. They might also finally announce details about their free Xbox Cloud Gaming service.
The Game Awards will be held on December 11th and are known for revealing exciting new game announcements and debuting world premieres. After reaching 154 million viewers last year, everyone’s watching to see what major companies, including Microsoft, will unveil.
