Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is bringing *Yakuza 3* to modern consoles with updated graphics, extra story content, and enhanced combat. A new trailer offers a first look at these improvements – you can watch it below.
You can choose from two fighting styles: Dragon of Dojima and Ryukyu. While it’s not a huge selection, Dragon of Dojima has been completely updated and offers the most moves of any game in the series. Ryukyu style focuses on weapon combat, letting you quickly switch between weapons for powerful attacks inspired by Okinawan martial arts.
The game features eight different weapons, including a small shield that can be thrown like Captain America’s, a pair of tonfa, nunchaku, kama, a traditional Okinawan oar called an eku, and reinforced knuckle guards, among others. Like previous Yakuza games, each weapon has incredibly dramatic special moves.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 will be available on February 12, 2026, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and will cost $59.99. It includes a bonus side story called Dark Ties, which stars Yoshitaka Mine. You can find more information here.
