Good news! A playable demo for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is now available for download on PlayStation 5. It’s a pretty substantial demo – around 7GB – so give it a try if you’re interested!
The demo lets you explore both Okinawa and Kamurocho. You’ll play as Kiryu in Okinawa and as Mine in Kamurocho.
You’ll get to try out extended portions of the battles, letting you experience what each character and their fighting style can do.
After taking down the easy enemies, you can enjoy a variety of optional things to do, like smaller stories and quick games.
This demo is quite substantial, but it’s important to remember that any progress you make won’t transfer to the main game, as the demo is set during specific moments in the story.
A playable demo for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is coming to PlayStation 5 very soon, just as we announced.
It officially launches at 9pm Pacific Time on January 21st. For most people, that means it will be available starting January 22nd at 2am Eastern Time, 5am in the UK, and 6am in Central Europe.
Just so you know, the demo looks really substantial. You’ll get to explore Okinawa as Kiryu and test out both his improved Dragon of Dojima fighting style and a completely new Ryukyu fighting style that focuses on weapons.
Playing as Kiryu, you can experience side stories, customize his outfits, and enjoy minigames such as karaoke.
Plus, you can experience the new Dark Ties campaign as Mine! This lets you explore his backstory, try out his unique combat skills, and participate in some special side missions.
So, from what I understand, the demo will only let you play through specific, pre-made situations. That means anything you achieve in the demo won’t transfer over when the full game comes out – you’ll be starting fresh!
If you’re excited to experience the updated combat and see how Yakuza 3 has been rebuilt in the Dragon Engine, this demo will definitely give you a good few hours of gameplay.
