The popular games *Yakuza Kiwami* and *Yakuza Kiwami 2* are launching on Nintendo Switch 2 on November 13th, and will also be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S starting December 8th. Sega announced at their recent RGG Summit that both games will include support for more languages and will be released as physical copies.
Both games are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. They are updated versions of the original *Yakuza* games. *Yakuza Kiwami* tells the story of Kazuma Kiryu, a famous gangster known as the “Dragon of Dojima.” He’s just been released from prison when he gets caught up in a puzzling case involving 10 billion yen that has disappeared.
In *Yakuza Kiwami 2*, Kiryu faces off against Ryuji Goda, a powerful leader known as the “Dragon of Kansai,” amidst a large-scale gang war. Both games have been visually updated and improved, and a new update will add text in French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Latin American Spanish, Italian, and Russian.
Fans new to the *Yakuza* series can also enjoy *Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut* when it releases on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on the same date as *Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth*. RGG Studio also announced that *Yakuza Kiwami 3* will be remade and launch in February 2026, alongside a brand new story called *Dark Ties*.
