Yasmin Davies will be appearing in Hollyoaks Later and a special crossover with the classic soap Brookside. She’ll be playing a character named Esme, described as a fun-loving partygoer.
Actress Davies is the daughter of Alex Fletcher, a well-known soap opera performer. Fletcher has played Diane Hutchinson on Hollyoaks since 2010, and before that, she was known for her role as Jacqui Dixon on Brookside.
And in the perfect twist, Davies’s alter ego Esme is in fact the daughter of Jacqui!
Davies has filmed scenes with Sue Johnston and John McArdle, who reprise their roles as Sheila and Billy Corkhill. She’s also scheduled to appear in Hollyoaks’ late-night special episodes, which will follow her character, Esme, as she visits a nightclub in Liverpool.

The soap’s infamous ‘Later’ shows typically take on a darker tone, airing in a late night slot.
Esme will then get to hang out and have fun with some of the teenagers from Chester, like Frankie Osborne, who is played by Isabelle Smith.
Davies shared that she thoroughly enjoyed working on the ‘Brookside’ and ‘Laters’ episodes.
Everyone on set has been feeling really nostalgic, and I can’t wait to see how it all turns out as we celebrate 30 years of Hollyoaks.
The actor has appeared in several TV shows, including Maryland on ITV with Suranne Jones, and also The Gathering and The Tower.
I’m really impressed with what Maisie Davies is juggling right now! She’s not only filming the third season of ‘G’wed,’ which, let’s not forget, is a BAFTA-nominated comedy, but she’s also starting at RADA – one of the most respected drama schools in the country. Talk about a talented and busy young actress!

BAFTA-winning director Martin Smith said that Yasmin is a talented and delightful actor to work with on set.
I had the pleasure of directing her in the next season of Silent Witness. She took on a difficult role and performed brilliantly. She’s a joy to work with – full of energy and definitely someone to watch in the future, he said.
She’s not just a talented actor; she’s completely at home on set and a fantastic teammate, bringing a contagious energy to every project.
I’m really excited to see what she does next. As a longtime fan of her work on Brookside, I’m especially looking forward to seeing her in this new role.
It remains to be seen what Esme will do next, and it would be especially fun to watch her interact with Jacqui, given Fletcher’s iconic history on Hollyoaks!
