The 25-year-old actress said she’d enjoy seeing her character, Shauna, continue being a villain, but she also thinks it would be satisfying if Shauna ended the fourth season of Yellowjackets in a good place.

Sophie Nélisse told GamesRadar+ that she has mixed feelings about her character: a part of her wants the character to remain harsh, but she also hopes for a hopeful and satisfying resolution that feels earned.

The actress from ‘Heated Rivalry’ continued, saying she knows the character has attracted a lot of negative attention from viewers. She hopes some fans will start to defend the character again. She also expressed excitement, along with the rest of the cast and audience, to see the finished scripts for this season, and believes the writers will work hard to make the ending amazing.

Season 3 of Yellowjackets shows young Shauna gradually becoming desensitized to violence. She believes taking this approach will give her control and prevent future tragedies, like the loss of her baby and Jackie, and accepts that survival requires making difficult sacrifices. Years later, this pattern continues, ultimately leading her husband, Jeff, to leave her, taking their daughter, Callie, with him.

The popular series, which first aired in 2021, will conclude with its fourth season. Filming for Yellowjackets Season 4 is expected to start in February, and the new season should arrive in 2026.
