Yes, Sydney Sweeney Did Celebrate Thanksgiving By Water Skiing While It Was Very, Very Cold

With the weather getting colder, I was totally ready to cozy up with a sweater, slippers, and a fire. But Sydney Sweeney? She was doing the opposite! While I was probably watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or re-watching the Friends Thanksgiving episodes (a tradition, obviously!), she was out water skiing – in freezing cold water, no less! Talk about dedication… or maybe just being fearless!

Sweeney has had a busy year, with multiple offerings on the 2025 movie calendar, but she was never too busy to give us FOMO with all of her vacation pics. This time, however, I’m not sure I would have wanted to join her, as she wished her followers a “Happy Thanksgiving” with an Instagram Stories post that showed her enjoying a nice frigid day on the lake. Just how cold was it on location? The lead actress from the movie The Housemaid jokingly described it as “too cold for this Southern girl” in a video she shared.

It’s great to see Sydney Sweeney thriving and having fun! While she calls it her “happy place,” getting blasted with wind and freezing water doesn’t sound pleasant at all, but I’m happy she’s enjoying it.

Okay, so she definitely upgraded her water gear! It feels like just yesterday she was rocking a simple black swimsuit for her aquatic adventures, but now she’s fully covered in a wetsuit. It reminds me of earlier this year when Jennifer Lopez and Alexandra Daddario bravely posed in bikinis despite the snow, while Sydney Sweeney smartly bundled up for a snowball fight. Though, let’s be real, even a wetsuit wasn’t quite enough to ward off the chill – a jacket probably would have been a better idea!

It’s unknown who joined actress Sydney Sweeney on her recent trip to the lake. There’s been speculation this year about a possible romance with Scooter Braun, and they were reportedly seen together at Jeff Bezos’ wedding and on dates. However, some sources say their relationship is just friendly, and Sweeney recently stated she isn’t actively seeking a partner. It’s possible Braun is simply offering her professional guidance.

It seems pretty clear that if Scooter Braun wants to be with this White Lotus actress, he’ll need to get on board with her love of being on the lake – rain or shine! She’s been sharing a lot of photos and videos of herself enjoying time on the water, and even takes her dog along for the ride. She clearly loves the lake life, and isn’t afraid to show it with a fun, sometimes playfully nautical, style.

Even though I don’t quite get why she’d want to be on the water when it’s so cold, I admire that she’s prioritizing the activities she loves.
