‘You Ain’t In There With The Most Stable People.’ Ex-Reality TV Star On What Diddy Should Do To Stay Safe In Prison

Sean Combs has started his four-year prison sentence, but he’s not at the Brooklyn jail where he was held after his arrest in September 2024. Instead, the 56-year-old entertainer is now at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, which is considered a safer facility. Despite this, Combs has been warned to be careful while in prison, and a source with experience in reality TV is offering advice on how he should handle his time there.

Joe Giudice, a businessman and former cast member on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, recently shared his thoughts on Diddy’s current legal situation. Giudice, 53, served 41 months at Fort Dix federal prison after being convicted of financial fraud. Us Weekly spoke with Giudice about Diddy, who is now incarcerated at the same facility. Based on his own experience, Giudice advises Diddy to stay out of trouble and keep a low profile to ensure his safety and well-being.

Whether things go well for him really depends on his behavior. If he stays humble and doesn’t try to show off, he should be okay.

So, Joe Giudice – you might remember him from The Real Housewives of New Jersey – is now living in the Bahamas. After serving time, he was deported to Italy because he never became a U.S. citizen. And he’s been talking about the Diddy situation at Fort Dix, which is… something. This isn’t the first time he’s offered his opinion, and frankly, it’s pretty startling. He’s claiming he saw gang activity and violence while he was incarcerated, and in his latest comments, he went even further, alleging he witnessed group sex happening early in the morning. It’s a really unusual perspective coming from someone who’s been on the inside, and it definitely paints a disturbing picture of what’s allegedly going on there.

I’ve witnessed incredibly volatile situations, even fights breaking out over something small like an onion. You’re surrounded by people who are really struggling. I used to wake up really early, around 3 or 4 AM, just to use the restroom, and you’d see some truly bizarre and unexpected things happening. The guards are aware of what goes on, even late at night – like when someone is showering – but they generally choose to ignore it.

Sean Combs faced trial earlier this year, from May to July, and the results were mixed. He was found guilty of helping to facilitate prostitution, but not guilty of sex trafficking or racketeering. He was sentenced in October, and before learning his fate, he apologized to anyone he had harmed. He began serving his prison sentence in early November.

While Diddy is in prison, Joe Giudice isn’t the only one offering advice. Record producer Suge Knight, who is currently serving a 28-year sentence for a hit-and-run, told Diddy to avoid drugs and trouble while incarcerated. Reports indicate Diddy intends to stay busy and productive at Fort Dix.

Sean Combs is adjusting to prison life by working in the chapel library and helping with laundry, according to his lawyer. He’s also hoping to continue his “Free Game With Diddy” business course, originally designed for inmates, and is participating in a drug treatment program. If he follows the rules and completes the program, he’s expected to be released in June 2028.
