Following Sony’s usual practice, the game Marathon is receiving special PlayStation 5 accessories. These include a uniquely designed controller, the Pulse Elite headset, and a new theme for the PS5’s home screen, all inspired by the Bungie shooting game.
The limited edition Marathon DualSense controller features the classic white base with bright green neon accents. It includes the logo on the touchpad and additional design details on the controller grips.
You can pre-order the controller starting January 29th. It will be released on March 5th, 2026 – the same day the game comes out. The price is £74.99 in the UK or $84.99 elsewhere, and it will be available in limited numbers. Here’s a look at what it looks like:
A special Marathon edition of the Pulse Elite headset is also available, but only in the United States. It costs $169.99 and features the same white base as the controller, but with bright neon accents. Here’s what it looks like:
Okay, so if I’m hyped for the Marathon game and want to get into the vibe right away on my PS5, good news! They’re dropping a new background for the Welcome Hub tomorrow. It’s a cool way to customize things and get pumped for the launch.
Here’s more on the design process that went into the PS5 accessories on offer:
Our goal was to create a design inspired by the game’s striking visuals, energetic colors, and overall artistic style, as well as its detailed industrial design, architecture, and environments. The final design captures the world’s blend of practicality and aesthetics, combining sleek shapes, meaningful details, and bright colors to feel both modern and realistic.
