A video game based on the Halloween movie series was announced earlier this year, and now we have a release date. Be warned – it might be later than you expect!
IllFonic just revealed in a new trailer that their game will be available on PlayStation 5 starting September 8, 2026.
You can play this game alone or with others, choosing to be either the terrifying Michael Myers or one of the people trying to survive his attacks.
The game feels similar to other asymmetrical horror titles like Friday the 13th: The Game, but it’s great to see a detailed and well-developed Haddonfield brought to life.

PlayStation 5 users have nearly a year before the new Halloween game is released. Are you excited to play it? Let us know in the comments!
