You Need to Hear the Advice Rhea Raj Gave KATSEYE’s Lara

Rhea Raj knows her sister Lara Raj can run it, run it, run it.

Being the older sister, the singer known as “Devil in a Dress” will always offer advice to the member of the KATSEYE band, even as the group quickly becomes famous.

Rhea shared some advice for her sister in a recent interview with TopMob News at a Diwali event on October 3rd: ‘Always be confident and true to yourself.’ She added that despite being the younger sibling, her sister is a huge inspiration because of her passionate and strong personality.

The artist made it clear they want the person they’re talking about to always be true to themselves, and never feel pressured to change for others or any situation.

Fortunately, because the 25-year-old is a musician, she gets to spend a lot of time with Lara and her bandmates in KATSEYE: Yoochae, Manon Bannerman, Daniela Avanzini, Megan Skiendiel, and Sophia Laforteza.

Rhea said it was an unforgettable experience. She added that it feels unreal to be sharing so many memories with this person, recalling moments together at both Lollapalooza and the VMAs.

She explained that they deeply care for each other and want to navigate life’s challenges together, as they are the best of friends.

It was amazing seeing both Lara, who’s 19, and Rhea perform for so many fans! As a big follower, I was especially touched to hear the ‘Killer’ singer talk about the advice she’s shared with her little sister, Rhea, and what she’s actually *learned* from watching Rhea’s journey too. It feels so genuine and supportive to see them lift each other up.

She stressed the importance of living in the moment, explaining that life passes by quickly. She encouraged people to be present, breathe, and enjoy themselves, reminding everyone that being an artist—and life in general—should be enjoyable.

She also understands that success requires a lot of effort. For KATSEYE, this journey started with the talent competition show *The Debut: Dream Academy*, which they won in November 2023.

The girl group has quickly become a sensation with their devoted fans, known as Eyekons. They’ve already achieved significant success, including a standout performance at the 2025 MTV VMA Awards pre-show and winning the Push Performance of the Year award.

“This is incredible!” Lara exclaimed while accepting their award at the UBS Arena last month. “We’re still getting used to all of this – it’s the first time we’ve ever experienced anything like it. We’ve faced many challenges together, so this moment feels truly fulfilling, like all our hard work has been worth it, and it motivates us to continue.”

Oh. My. Gosh. The Hansons! Seriously, “MMMBop” launched them right into ’90s boy band heaven with everyone else! They even put out an album together in 2013, which was amazing, but then Isaac, Taylor, and Zac each started doing their own thing – Taylor’s super busy with *seven* kids, can you believe it?! But then, *then* in 2018, they came back! *String Theory* was everything, and they’ve been touring ever since! I’ve seen them multiple times, and it’s still the best. I’m obsessed, obviously!

TLC, the popular ’90s rap group, still performs with its remaining members, Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozanda ‘Chilli’ Thomas, following the tragic death of original member Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes in 2002. Lil Mama joined them on stage in 2013, and in 2017, TLC announced they were working on a new album.

Since 2017, the internationally famous K-pop group BTS has been largely responsible for creating their own music, handling both the writing and production of their songs. Their dedicated fanbase, known as the Army, is considered one of the most enthusiastic and devoted in the music industry.

Honestly, I was SO excited when the JoBros announced their comeback! The Jonas Brothers – Nick, Joe, and Kevin – just have this incredible energy. Nick’s smile is seriously captivating, Joe’s got so much swagger, and Kevin always feels like the reliable older brother. And can we talk about the fact that they’re all amazingly talented musicians? I’ve been a fan since they first started out in 2006, and I’m still completely obsessed!

One Direction became a global phenomenon in the 2010s after forming on a singing competition show. The boy band launched the successful solo careers of its members – Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and the late Liam Payne – who have all made a significant impact on music, fashion, and film.

The pop group, who rose to fame on *The X Factor*, create music focused on positive body image, female empowerment, the challenges of social media, and the experience of being young mothers.

BLACKPINK, the popular K-pop group, is made up of members Lisa, Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo. They released their first full-length album, appropriately named *THE ALBUM*, in October 2020. Rosé explained on *Jimmy Kimmel Live* that the name “BLACKPINK” reflects the group’s dual nature – both feminine and fierce. 5 Seconds of Summer, an Australian rock band, initially gained attention by posting videos on YouTube. As a lifestyle observer, I definitely remember The Wanted! They were kind of the ‘bad boy’ group coming out of the UK, a bit like One Direction with an edge. They really broke through here in the States with their song “Glad You Came” back in 2012, and we even got a peek into their lives with their reality show, *The Wanted Life*. The group took a break in 2014, but happily reunited in 2021. Sadly, we lost one of their founding members, Tom Parker, to brain cancer in 2022, which was just heartbreaking.

The Latin American boy band CNCO, consisting of Joel Pimentel, Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez, and Zabdiel De Jesús, performed together for the last time on May 14th. This followed an announcement from Joel Pimentel that he was leaving the group.

Big Time Rush, the band that started on Nickelodeon, entertained fans for five years before taking a break in 2014. Luckily, all four members – Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, Carlos PenaVega, and James Maslow – got back together in December 2021 to release new music.

Girls Aloud became a groundbreaking pop group, rising to fame as one of the first bands created through a reality TV show.
