In those days, when the world still clutched its collective purse with trembling hands, the far-off bell of fortune tolled yet again for the followers of Bitcoin. A certain “CryptoQuant”—a sage of statistics, if one dared to call anyone in that tempestuous realm a sage—unfurled before the assembled multitude a chart. This chart, venerated as men venerate the tea leaves at the bottom of a samovar, professed to show the rise of something called Bitcoin ‘Supply in Profit.’
To the uninitiated, of which there are few in Moscow’s drawing rooms (or so they claim after a little vodka), ‘Supply in Profit’ is that shimmering portion of the Bitcoin sea, where every coin swims merrily above the price at which it was corralled or last shoved from one virtual pocket to another. Alas, happiness in crypto, as in marriage, is fleeting.
Is This Euphoria or Just the Peasants Dancing? 💃
CryptoQuant, through its mysterious correspondent Darkfost—surely not his real name, unless his mother had strong opinions—had, it seems, declared that the levels of joy were approaching 90%, a number not seen since the last time someone thought they could afford land in St. Petersburg after reading Tolstoy.
Bitcoin Supply in Profit Approaching a Historic Euphoria Threshold
“Historically, when the supply in profit surpassed the 90% threshold, it consistently triggered euphoric phases, and we are now approaching that level.” – By @Darkfost_Coc

The analyst, surely a distant cousin of Cassandra, reminds us that whenever this mystical 90% gate is crossed, euphoria breaks out like a rash among the hopeful. The people rejoice, pockets swell—and then, often, as in all Russian novels, tragedy awaits in the wings with a corrective slap.
If we peer, as Count Rostov might, with a glass of sweetened tea in hand, we might notice that the analyst has inscribed even more wisdom upon his sacred Twitter scroll: “Generally, an increase in the supply in profit tends to fuel bullish phases.” In other words, the more money people think they’ve made, the more they behave as if the czar himself were on their side.
Bull Run…or Just the Herd Moving Too Fast? 🐂➡️🐑
At this moment—if moments can even be counted in the time-bent, vodka-soaked world of Bitcoin—the profit-happy supply dances above 85%. “Fairly positive,” the analyst proclaims, with the caution of a soldier who’s yet to meet winter.
📈 Having a large portion of the supply in profit is not a bad thing, quite the opposite.
Of course, there are certain levels that are more “comfortable” than others, but generally, an increase in the supply in profit tends to fuel bullish phases.

Our dear analyst, like a wise old peasant warning of early frost, recalls the last correction—when this metric plummeted toward 75%, an average suitable not only for Bitcoin but for a night at the roulette tables. If the profit tide ebbs too low, the analyst mutters of profit-taking and capitulation, words more ominous than a knocking at the winter dacha’s door after midnight.
And yet, gentle reader, should the euphoria summit be conquered anew, remember (if I may—apologies, force of habit), euphoric phases are as quick to leave as they are to arrive. Like youthful love or peasant bread, all too often they are gone before you have grown used to their taste.
