This week, there’s still more than half of July left, but the heat outside pales in comparison to the excitement brewing on your favorite streaming platform! Expect an array of blockbuster films, returning and fresh series, and a dash of Disneyland magic for good measure. Here’s a sneak peek at what you shouldn’t miss out on this week.

Jaws Movie Collection July 15 (Netflix)

This summer marks 50 years since the release of the iconic movie “Jaws,” known as the first-ever summer blockbuster. To commemorate its anniversary, you can catch a new documentary about the film on streaming services. If you’re more interested in watching the original movie, it’s currently available with a Netflix subscription this week. For those who want to explore more of the series, the sequels will also be accessible if desired.

The Summer I Turned Pretty, Season 3 – July 16 (Prime Video)

This summer’s hit coming-of-age drama, “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” has been a crowd favorite among Prime Video subscribers. Excitingly, Season 3 kicks off this week! However, keep in mind that this season will mark the end of the series, so don’t miss out on any episodes to wrap up your journey with these beloved characters.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Season 3 – July 17 (Paramount+)

Among the latest “Star Trek” content delivered since the debut of paramount+, it’s hard to argue against the idea that “Strange New Worlds” stands out as the best. The pre-Kirk Enterprise, helmed by Ansel Mount portraying Captain Christopher Pike, has been a delightful blend of nostalgia and fresh reinterpretation of the series. Consequently, I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of Season 3 this week to make use of my Paramount+ subscription.

Untamed – July 17 (Netflix)

It appears that a fresh mystery drama seems to be streaming weekly, boasting well-known actors, but what sets “Untamed” apart is its stunning backdrop – Yosemite National Park. In this series, Eric Bana takes on the role of a detective investigating a death, while Sam Neil and Rosemary DeWitt complete the talented cast.

Towards the end of July promises a cinematic extravaganza, as “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” graces the silver screen. However, streaming platforms aren’t backing down either. They too have some major releases lined up, among them being the long-anticipated sequel, “Happy Gilmore 2,” produced by Adam Sandler.
