Wow, what a week for movie trailers! I was so excited when DC finally released the first trailer for Supergirl – Milly Alcock looks amazing as Kara Zor-El, and we even got a first glimpse of Jason Momoa as Lobo! But that wasn’t all – there’s been talk about a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday coming soon, and it turns out the rumors were true! The catch? Apparently, we’re going to have to see Avatar: Fire and Ash four times to see all the trailer content. That’s dedication for you!
I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz online this week about the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, and it sounds like it’s going to be bigger than we thought! The Hollywood Reporter just confirmed the rumor that we won’t be getting just one trailer, but four different ones. Apparently, each trailer will play before Avatar: Fire and Ash for a week, so we’ll see a new one each week for a month. That means if we want to catch all four trailers, we’re going to have to go see Avatar a few times when it hits theaters on December 19th. I’m already planning my trips!
Will Fans Really Go to The Theaters Just for the Avengers: Doomsday Trailer?
The marketing campaign for Avatar: Fire and Ash is using an unusual strategy: releasing four different trailers, one each week, before the film comes out. Showing trailers before movies in theaters isn’t new – it’s been a common practice for years – but releasing four separate trailers designed to draw fans back to theaters weekly is different. It seems like this approach aims to create a sense of exclusivity, encouraging dedicated Marvel fans to see Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters just to be among the first to watch each trailer, rather than waiting for them to appear online.
So, it looks like Disney is really pushing hard for the new Avatar: Fire and Ash movie. As a huge movie fan, I get it – the first two Avatar films were massive hits, both making over $2 billion worldwide. But this one’s got a massive budget, making it one of the most expensive movies ever! Of course, Disney wants to make their money back. What I’m wondering is, will Marvel fans actually pay to see a trailer in theaters? Especially since we don’t really know how different these four trailers will be, or when they’ll pop up online. Let’s be real, with everyone having smartphones, those trailers are going to leak online pretty quickly anyway. Plus, a lot of fans will probably just wait until the trailers are officially released for everyone to see. It’s a tricky situation!
Whatever happens with the details, this report finally gives us Marvel fans a clearer idea of when we’ll see the Avengers: Doomsday trailer! There was a lot of guessing that it would drop alongside the Supergirl trailer, or even this weekend, but now it looks like we just need to be patient for one more week. Honestly, after all the build-up, waiting just a little longer to see what could be Marvel’s biggest, most important movie yet is totally worth it!
Avatar: Fire and Ash opens in theaters December 19th.
