John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are busy raising their four children, but they love being parents and wouldn’t trade it for anything.
As a long-time follower of John’s family, I always loved hearing how much joy fills their home. He told TopMob News a while back that having Luna, Esti, Miles, and Wren all growing up together is just wonderful. He described it so sweetly – everyone is up and moving, constantly chatting and connecting. It really paints a picture of a vibrant and loving family life!
The family is keeping busy with everything from helping in the kitchen to enjoying Luna’s ice skating lessons. They’re also spending time outdoors and having fun with lots of toys, as their mom shared in a recent post highlighting all the happy moments of the week.
John also mentioned that having three of his children attend the same school simplifies morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. While it’s still busy, he describes it as a ‘nice kind of chaos’ to TopMob.
Chrissy Teigen always dreamed of having a large family. After experiencing the heartbreaking loss of her son Jack in 2020, she was overjoyed to welcome her daughter Wren via surrogate in June 2023, just six months after giving birth to Esti. She’s said she always wanted four children.
She shared on a recent podcast that our capacity for love is vast. One important lesson she’s learned is to accept imperfection. When she first became a mom, she used to stress over small messes, like spills on the carpet. Now, she’s learned to appreciate a home that feels comfortable and lived-in, allowing her children to be themselves and enjoy being kids.
John, who’s turning 47 on Dec. 28, knows all about embracing those perfect imperfections.
The Grammy-winning artist revealed earlier this year that her son Miles’s type 1 diabetes diagnosis strengthened their family bond.
The Grammy winner told People that this difficult time is actually making him and their family stronger, as everyone is coming together to support each other.
John, being naturally optimistic and practical, realized immediately that this news would profoundly change things for both the person involved and for himself. He also felt confident they could handle whatever came next, thinking, ‘We can do this.’
He and Chrissy have proved time and again that they’ve got this, whatever this is.
