You’ll Snap Twice for Jenna Ortega’s Daring Golden Globes Look

Jenna Ortega knows how to deliver a must-see red carpet moment.

Jenna Ortega, known for her role in Wednesday, attended the Golden Globes ceremony, hosted by Nikki Glaser, on January 11th. She wore a striking black Dilara Findikoglu gown with cutouts and beaded fringe as she walked the red carpet at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. (You can find photos of all the celebrities at the Golden Globes here.)

Ortega has been nominated for Best Female Actor in a TV Musical/Comedy series, alongside Kristen Bell (for Nobody Wants This), Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face), Selena Gomez (Only Murders in the Building), and Jean Smart (Hacks). She completed her look with silver earrings and rings.

Jenna Ortega, age 23, attended the Golden Globes for the first time in January 2023 after being nominated for her role in Wednesday. She celebrated the occasion with a beautiful Gucci dress, Tiffany & Co. jewelry, and a new, shorter haircut. She worked with stylist Enrique Melendez on her look.

It was actually Ortega’s role as Wednesday Addams that gave her a new POV on style.

I used to be so attached to my long hair, it was a big part of my identity! But making the change actually pushed me to step outside my comfort zone. It really encouraged me to be more adventurous and explore different looks – it unlocked a whole new level of creativity for me, and I’ve been having fun experimenting ever since.

She explained that she’s long admired goth culture. She’s always been someone who appreciates darker humor, but never felt comfortable showing that side of herself. Now, she feels free to be more authentic and embrace those parts of her personality.

She’s also learned new tips and tricks when it comes to her beauty routine.

Jenna Ortega used to wear a lot of makeup, but she’s since discovered that a more natural look is better. She now believes in highlighting your existing features instead of covering them up, and she’s found that simplicity is key.
