Zach Bryan Hints “Trouble” in New Song After Dave Portnoy Diss Track

As a dedicated follower of Zach Bryan’s music journey, his latest release, “This World’s A Giant,” resonates deeply with my own experiences of navigating through life’s tumultuous waters. His raw and honest lyrics reflect the struggles we all face in finding courage and making amends for our past mistakes.

Zach Bryan remembers everything about his past—even the parts that aren’t spotless.

One day following Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards of Barstool Sports releasing a diss track about the Grammy winner’s breakup with their former co-host Brianna LaPaglia, Zach came out with a reflective song titled “This World’s a Giant.

In his November 7th song, he says, “Calm down, keep silent, this world seems overwhelming tonight, and I’d rather avoid it,” he starts. “I claim I desire children, yet I can’t seem to grow up from my immature habits, but it’s not all negative.

The tune seems to allude to the tale of David and Goliath; it underscores his struggle with finding bravery during trying times, yet it also underscores his determination to improve himself.

“Let’s get some wine, we’ve got a bit of time left / And maybe I have enough energy to spare,” the 29-year-old sang. “I never had a heart like David’s / I’ll apologize to God for all the trouble I stirred up / Maybe that’s where I should begin my redemption.

On November 6th, Zach shared on his Instagram Stories that he was unexpectedly releasing a new track, expressing, “The world has felt quite heavy recently. Let’s lighten it up with some fresh music tonight.

It appears that part of the song may have been composed prior to the breakup with Brianna, given that the artist initially posted a preview of it on his social media platform (previously known as Twitter) as early as January. The timing is somewhat questionable.

In a subtle jab on her Instagram Stories, the host of the “Planned Bri” podcast appeared to criticize the singer as she announced the upcoming release of Dave and Josh. She wrote, “The world has been quite burdensome over the past year.

Meanwhile, Zach has been expressing his emotions via music, similarly, Brianna’s companions have also been doing so. This seems to be a response or challenge directed at Zach in the song titled “Smallest Man.

In the track, Josh sings, “I told you to believe in me, now your trousers are ablaze,” which translates to, “I asked for your trust, and now it seems you’re caught in a lie.” He continues, “You’ve become quite arrogant, creating a fresh adversary / Before long, you may find yourself in need of redemption.

The tune suggested hints about his romantic history, such as his brief marriage to Rose Madden for a year and later relationship with Deb Peifer.

He went on to say, “If you truly recall every detail, then perhaps it’s not because you misplaced your wedding ring.” Furthermore, “You have an exceptional knack for expressing yourself in a simple, straightforward manner, much like a country song with no extra words.

What led to the strained relationship between the former partners? The 25-year-old, who was with Zach from May 2023 until last month, explained that he announced their breakup without discussing it with her first.

She shared on YouTube last month that she learned about their breakup when Zach posted about it on Instagram. She wasn’t aware the post was going up and neither did she receive any phone calls or text messages from him beforehand. Instead, she woke up to a flurry of texts asking if she was alright.

She added, “I wanted to heal privately and I didn’t even know that he was gonna post that.”

On October 22nd, Zach posted the news on his Instagram Stories, stating, “I hold her in deep respect and affection with all my heart.

For an incredibly long period, she’s shown me nothing but unconditional love, and I’ll forever be grateful for that,” he went on. “I believe it’s best for us to part ways, given separate paths. I may not be flawless, and that’s something I’ll never achieve.
