Zak Bagans Was “Affected” by Annabelle Doll Before Dan Rivera’s Death

I, a dedicated follower in the realm of the paranormal, express my thoughts and condolences following the untimely demise of my fellow investigator Dan Rivera. Tragically, this occurred while he was accompanying the notoriously haunted Annabelle doll on its travels.

Similar to Rivera, the star of ‘Ghost Adventures’ has experienced an up-close encounter with Annabelle, an artifact that the New England Society of Psychic Research (NESPR) classifies as “demonically possessed.

In a 2017 interview with Us Weekly, Bagan shared that he had the chance to examine Annabelle when her owner brought her to his museum. He admitted that the doll left a strong impact on him, causing him to unintentionally interact with it.

He continued, “The owner didn’t like that too much.”

In 1968, peculiar events surrounding a doll named Annabelle started to unfold for a student nurse and her roommates, as stated on the NESPR site.

The co-founders of the organization, Ed Warren and his wife Lorraine Warren (who specialized in demonology and trance mediumship), were summoned to investigate an unusual case. After thorough investigation, they chose to encase Annabelle within a glass cabinet at their museum in Connecticut, aiming to isolate the malevolent spirit said to inhabit it.

The eerie tales associated with Annabelle sparked the creation of the film series known as “The Conjuring,” featuring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga portraying the characters, the Warrens.

Rivera, who had been associated with the NESPR for more than ten years, tragically passed away on July 13, during a tour featuring the Raggedy Ann doll, at a hotel in Pennsylvania.

The 54-year-old’s reason for passing away remains undisclosed, as an autopsy is yet to be performed. However, the local authorities have stated that they found nothing out of the ordinary or suspicious at the scene.

On July 15th, the NESPR announced that they are still processing the deep sorrow of the recent event, yet they have no current intentions of cancelling their upcoming tour with Annabelle, set to take place in Maine during September.

They expressed their conviction, saying, “We firmly feel he’d approve, as we move forward with the work.” They also shared, “His essence will guide us throughout all our actions.

After Rivera’s demise, Bagan expressed on Us Weekly, “I send my heartfelt thoughts and well wishes to his family and companions.

According to the actress, McDaid was surrounded by waves of energy when he awoke, but he dismissed her claims of seeing spirits.

In an attempt to ward off the spectral visitors, Courteney politely asked them not to return that night so she could sleep. Fortunately for her, the ghosts did not come back again.

Demi Lovato believes her childhood home in Texas is haunted, as she has had strange experiences there. For instance, when she was young, she claimed to be talking to a girl named Emily who was in a picture frame. Her sister also reported hearing voices from the closet. One time, Demi invited friends over and dared them to experience something unusual, and they eventually did, with odd occurrences such as their phones sending messages on their own. Demi’s uncle even witnessed a balloon floating down the stairs, which is unusual because balloons don’t normally do that. These incidents have led Demi to believe the home is indeed haunted.

During her role in The Conjuring as a child character, Joey King experienced an eerie real-life incident. As she recounted on The Howard Stern Show in 2020, during the filming of scenes where the mother’s character became possessed and showed bruises, similar marks began appearing mysteriously on Joey’s body.

The makeup artists initially thought she was joking and tried to remove the bruises with rubbing alcohol and oil. However, Joey insisted that she wasn’t lying. She then visited a doctor for blood tests and was diagnosed with ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura), a condition where her red blood platelets drained from her body without any known cause.

Interestingly, Joey had never had a blood problem before or since, and no one in her family has the same disorder. As a result, she had to go to the hospital twice a day while filming The Conjuring in 2013. When she returned home, her platelet count was back to normal, and she’s never experienced any traces of that disorder since then.

Ariana also recollected a time when she witnessed an enormous black cloud next to her bed. “I began crying,” she continued. “I was on the phone, asking, ‘What should I do? What should I do?’ and they suggested, ‘Tell it to go away.’ I thought, I won’t provoke it further. It would only escalate if I reacted with fear. So, I decided to remain calm and not feed into its fear-mongering. I observed it move towards the front of my bed before falling asleep while still on the phone. Upon waking up, it had vanished.

It appears that Octavia Spencer finds it perfectly fine having a spirit in her home, as she believes this entity serves as her protector. In an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2021, she shared that the house was previously owned by someone involved in Westerns, suggesting he could be her guardian spirit.

When asked about how the ghost keeps unwanted visitors at bay, Octavia explained that they tend to avoid returning if they’ve been there once. She feels this indicates that these individuals don’t belong in her home, as those who do feel welcome are always appreciative of its inviting atmosphere.

However, Octavia admitted that her ghost can sometimes be mischievous when she’s away for extended periods, playfully closing doors and turning off lights. Despite this friendly presence, she made it clear that she doesn’t extend an open invitation to other spirits.

Miley Cyrus has shared an interesting experience about a spirit residing in her home. In a 2020 interview with JoJo Wright from 102.7KIISFM, she discussed a ghost that supposedly began visiting her Los Angeles residence following a fire at her Malibu house in 2018. The boy was often seen staring into a corner of his room, which led others to claim they saw a ghostly presence. Despite being a rational and educated individual, Hugh found himself reaching out to a ghostbuster.

The ghostbuster arrived at the house with sticks. According to Grant, the sticks inexplicably became agitated in the boy’s room. The ghostbuster claimed the area was incredibly strong with spirits, causing her to feel nauseous. Hugh suspected it was all a hoax, as she proceeded to burn sage and perform some sort of ritual before declaring the spirits gone.

However, when asked if he felt any improvement in the morning, his son admitted that there had been a small boy at his window. This left Hugh with the suspicion that their home might be too haunted for comfort.
