Zendaya Debuts “Something Borrowed” Look at The Drama Premiere in Rome

The 29-year-old recently shared the final piece of her wedding tradition: her “something borrowed.” She wore a stunning Armani Privé gown that actress Cate Blanchett had previously worn to the Rome premiere of the film The Drama on March 26th.

Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, revealed on X (formerly Twitter) on March 26th that her outfit was inspired by her character’s recent marriage in a film. He explained that the Armani Privé dress she wore was borrowed from Cate Blanchett, who originally wore it in 2022 and 2025, and graciously lent it from her own collection.

The striking black dress featured a daringly low neckline and bold stone details that extended across the bodice. A surprising and practical touch? It had pockets! Cate Blanchett wore the dress to both the 2022 Screen Actors Guild Awards and the 2025 Venice Film Festival, even showcasing the pockets on the red carpet.

Zendaya complemented the look with a fresh, wavy bob, dramatic dark eye makeup, and a natural nude lip color.

Following the wedding tradition of “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue,” the actress from Euphoria recently wore a popular outfit she’d worn before.

Zendaya, recently married to Tom Holland, honored tradition at the Los Angeles premiere of The Drama on March 17th by wearing a vintage Vivienne Westwood silk gown – the same one she wore to the 2015 Academy Awards.
