Zendaya’s spidey senses have always bee tingling around Tom Holland.
With rumors swirling that Tom Holland and Zendaya secretly tied the knot, Zendaya recently shared what made her realize he was the one for her.
In a recent interview with the New York Times’ Modern Love podcast, the Euphoria star shared a personal experience about feeling at ease with someone special. They explained that people often get anxious around others, but with the right person, that nervousness disappears. They described a feeling of instant connection and comfort, knowing they had found ‘their person’.
She explained that she wasn’t nervous at all, but surprisingly peaceful and calm. She realized she actually felt more anxious when she wasn’t with him than when she was, and that made her realize she was trusting her gut feeling – a good sign, she thought.
She recalls first feeling that connection when she and Tom did a screen test for the 2017 film, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Oh my gosh, I remember when we first met! It was at an audition, and I was SO nervous, naturally. But he just… calmed me down. He was genuinely a nice person, and he made me feel comfortable, which was amazing. It was a chemistry read for a huge movie, and I really, really wanted the part, you know? He was just so lovely, even then. I knew right away he was special!

The actress from The Drama enjoys reminiscing about the past, but she prefers not to discuss what’s happening now or what might happen later.
She explained that she feels a strange connection to her relationship because of how much the public seems invested in it. Knowing both she and her partner are public figures who have played romantic roles on screen, she understands why people are interested and doesn’t want to seem like she’s asking for privacy. She acknowledges the public’s long-term observation of their relationship and doesn’t want to dismiss that connection.
However, she also shared that she values her privacy, explaining, “I really try to keep things private for myself and my partner.”

She clarified that she and Tom aren’t trying to be reclusive. Instead, Zendaya explained, they prefer to keep certain aspects of their relationship private to protect their happiness and share it only with close family and friends.
So she and her beloved will continue to maintain their privacy.
I understand what you’re saying,” she replied, “but I also have personal limits on what I feel comfortable discussing and sharing.
