Zero Parades: For Dead Spies Launches on May 21st for PC as New Trailer Teases Intrigue

ZA/UM, the creators of the popular game Disco Elysium, have announced that their next game, Zero Parades: For Dead Spies, will be released on May 21st. The game will be available on PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG. You can find more details in the announcement from GameSpot.

Similar to the first game, Zero Parades is a story-focused role-playing game where what your character thinks is just as important as the choices they make. You play as Hershel Wilk, a former agent who disappeared after a mission gone wrong. Now, he’s been given a new assignment to redeem himself, but things aren’t what they appear to be.

The game features a diverse cast of characters, from a delusional TV host to eerie duplicates, and many more. Talking to these characters and discovering their secrets is crucial, and you have complete freedom in how you do it. New features, like the Exertion system (similar to what you might find in Citizen Sleeper), let you gain an advantage, but watch out for things like anxiety and fatigue, which can impact your character’s health.

The game also introduces a Tactical View, letting you pause and assess the battlefield, though its implementation has faced some challenges. You can try it out now with a free demo on PC through Steam, which includes a good amount of gameplay and exploration. Zero Parades is also planned for release on PS5, but a specific date hasn’t been announced yet.
