In the thrilling adventure of “007 First Light“, the Grand Carpathian serves as a hub for various escapades. Moreover, IO Interactive recently revealed another mission set at the Kensington Gala during their latest State of Play broadcast. Here, Bond is on the hunt for an assassin, but must remain inconspicuous. However, this proves challenging when he needs to navigate the upper floors without being detected.
Through eavesdropping on nearby discussions, he cleverly disguises himself as a photographer (and steals a camera) to gain entry. The narrative then progresses, with Bond discovering that a keycard is essential for his exit via the garden. There are numerous paths and strategies to choose from for escape, but attacking adversaries could lead them to summon backup.
It’s crucial to create diversions, move quietly, and think on your feet. Luckily, you possess various Q Gadgets to help with this, such as the signature watch laser that temporarily incapacitates enemies or topples objects, or the smoke device which bewilders opponents and facilitates stealth takedowns. If dialogue is more your style, you can sometimes deceive others in conversations, although it doesn’t always yield success.
In a fight, Bond’s abilities are quite versatile. He can defend himself with parries and attacks, and if needed, he can hurl items ranging from discarded weapons to pool balls. The environment also becomes a weapon as he uses it to defeat his foes. When enemies armed with guns appear, the License to Kill function kicks in, allowing you to choose from various firearms to create a loud response. In such situations, instincts prove useful as they help in pinpointing targets and identifying strategic environmental objects.
007: First Light debuts on March 27, 2026, across platforms such as Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. You can now pre-order it! The Standard Edition retails for $69.99.
