IO Interactive suggests their new James Bond game, 007 First Light, might not be the only one. A director on the game has spoken highly of Patrick Gibson’s portrayal of Bond, implying that we could see more James Bond stories from IO Interactive in the future.
Dominic Vega, who worked on the 007 First Light video game, praised actor Jack Gibson’s performance as James Bond, saying he’s already making a strong impact in the role.
Vega praised Patrick’s performance as the new James Bond, telling TopMob that he embodies the character’s confidence and elegance both on and off screen. She believes he truly shines in the role and is eager for audiences to see his portrayal.
The choice of Gibson as Bond has already sparked a lot of conversation among fans, and Vega’s statements indicate the developers are optimistic about this initial game and hopeful they can expand on this version of the character in future installments.
In fact, Vega went a step further by suggesting that 007 First Light may not be a one-off.

We’re hoping Patrick will play Bond for many years to come. We often revisit and expand on our stories, so this definitely isn’t the last you’ll see of him in the role. This is just the start – it’s up to the fans to decide where the story goes next, but there’s much more to come.
Although Vega didn’t explicitly announce plans for a sequel, hinting that this game is “the beginning” suggests that more adventures with Gibson’s Bond could be on the way – if players enjoy both the character and the game.
“007 First Light” will tell the story of a young James Bond as he begins his career with MI6. He’s a talented but sometimes impulsive trainee whose natural skills and courage in fighting earn him a spot in the 00 section, a unit that’s recently been brought back to life.
Alongside Damian Gibson as the new James Bond, IO Interactive has announced a talented supporting cast. Priyanga Burford will play M, Alastair Mackenzie is Q, and Kiera Lester will be Miss Moneypenny. Lennie James joins the film as Bond’s mentor, John Greenway, with Noemie Nakai playing Miss Roth and Lenny Kravitz portraying the villain, Bawma.
