It’s time for the curtain to come down on Good Omens, with season 3 officially out now.
David Tennant and Michael Sheen have returned as Crowley and Aziraphale for the final episode.
The new 90-minute episode starts right after the dramatic end of season 2, where the angel and demon were forced to part ways. Now, they must work together to fix their fractured relationship and prevent the Second Coming, all while trying to save the world.
As the story unfolds, I’m really excited to see both characters I already know and some new ones pop up! Here’s a breakdown of the cast and who they’re playing in Good Omens season 3.

David Tennant plays Crowley

Crowley is a mischievous, ancient being – essentially a demon – who’s been around since the beginning of time. He started out as the serpent who tempted Eve, originally known as “Crawly,” but now prefers cruising in his 1926 Bentley, sporting sunglasses, and causing minor annoyances like bad cell service, sales tax, and traffic jams on the M25 motorway. Over the centuries, Crowley has developed a fondness for human life and now believes that Hell itself could benefit from learning a thing or two from us.
David Tennant is famous for playing The Tenth and Fourteenth Doctors in Doctor Who, but he’s also appeared in many other popular shows and films. Some of his other notable roles include DI Alex Hardy in Broadchurch, Deadwater Fell, Netflix’s Criminal, Casanova, Kilgrave in Jessica Jones, the film Mary Queen of Scots, Inside Man, The Sandman, Litvinenko, and There She Goes. He also plays a version of himself in the comedy series Staged, alongside Michael Sheen.
Michael Sheen plays Aziraphale

Aziraphale is an angel and Crowley’s opposite number. He served as Heaven’s representative on Earth for centuries and, similar to Crowley, has grown to love humanity. He currently owns and operates a bookshop in London.
Michael Sheen is famous for brilliantly portraying real people on screen. You might recognize him from roles like Chris Tarrant in ITV’s Quiz, David Frost in Frost/Nixon, Tony Blair in The Queen, or the Channel 4 series Vardy v Rooney.
He’s appeared in several popular shows and films, including Midnight in Paris, The Good Fight, Masters of Sex, The Sandman, Last Train to Christmas, Best Interests, and Staged, the latter of which features him playing a version of himself alongside David Tennant.
Doon Mackichan plays Archangel Michael

Archangel Michael is a powerful angel who once supervised Aziraphale. He works alongside Archangel Gabriel and occasionally monitors Aziraphale’s activities as a celestial agent.
Doon Mackichan is well-known for her role as Cathy in Two Doors Down, but she’s also appeared in several other popular shows, including Plebs, Toast of London, Pure, and, of course, Smack the Pony.
Bilal Hasna plays Jesus

Jesus is the son of God, and his story begins with a return to Earth that’s quite a surprise. He quickly realizes the world has changed and needs to figure out how to connect with people in this new era.
Bilal Hasna is most recognized for his work in the movie Layla, and the TV series Extraordinary and Dead Hot.
Toby Jones plays Satan

The character of Satan isn’t portrayed as the source of all evil. Instead, he’s depicted as a fallen angel who remembers Crowley from a previous existence.
Toby Jones is a versatile actor with a long list of credits. He’s known for roles in films like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and The Hunger Games, as well as television series like Mr Bates vs the Post Office and for playing Mr. Burton. He’s also appeared in the Harry Potter films.
Tanya Moodie plays God

Who is God? Of course, God is an all-powerful and omnipresent entity.
If you’re wondering what else Tanya Moodie’s been up to, I’ve seen her in a couple of really good shows! She’s fantastic in Motherland, and more recently, I really enjoyed her work on Silo. Definitely worth checking those out if you like her work!
Gloria Obianyo plays Uriel

Who is Uriel? Uriel is an Archangel, along with Michael.
Gloria Obianyo has also appeared in Dune, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1, Riches, and Feel Good.
Liz Carr as Saraqael

Who is Saraqael? Saraqael is “an angel you do not want to mess with”.
Liz Carr is famous for playing Clarissa in Silent Witness, but she’s also appeared in several other popular shows, including The OA, This is Going to Hurt, Then Barbara Met Alan, and The Witcher.
Quelin Sepulveda as Muriel

Who is Muriel? Muriel has been described by Neil Gaiman as a “nice, well-meaning angel”.
Besides his current work, Quelin Sepulveda has also acted in The Man Who Fell to Earth.
Derek Jacobi plays the Metatron

Who is the Metatron? The voice of God, but still a separate angelic entity.
Derek Jacobi is a very active British actor with a long and diverse career. He’s known for roles like Probert in Gosford Park and Gracchus in Gladiator. More recently, he’s appeared in popular shows and films such as Les Misérables, Last Tango in Halifax, The Crown, Vicious, Murder on the Orient Express, and Inside No. 9.
Elizabeth Berrington plays Dagon
Who is Dagon? Dagon is a demon who is also known as Lord of the Flies.
Elizabeth Berrington is an actress with a diverse career, known for appearing in popular shows like The Office, Waterloo Road, Stella, Little Boy Blue, Sanditon, The Responder, Ridley, and The Pact. More recently, she’s been in the Prime Video series Fifteen-Love, and she’s also had roles in films such as Last Night in Soho, Spencer, and Yesterday.
